The full-day package runs for 8 hours. The half-day option covers the most popular northern beaches and one fort in 4 hours — ideal if you arrive in Goa at noon or want to spend your evening independently.

Tour Itinerary: Morning to Evening

Most guests prefer a 9 AM departure. The first stop is typically Sinquerim Beach and Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort built in 1612 to guard the mouth of the Mandovi River. The fort walls and the restored lighthouse offer sweeping views of the Arabian Sea. This early-morning visit means fewer crowds and better light for photographs.

From Fort Aguada, the route moves north along the coastal road through Candolim Beach — a quieter stretch favoured by families and long-stay tourists — to the famous Calangute Beach, often called the "Queen of Beaches." Calangute's wide sandy shore and buzzing market street are worth an hour's exploration.

Baga Beach, a short drive north, is where the party atmosphere kicks in. Even by mid-morning the beach shacks are open, water sports operators are on the sand, and the energy is distinctly different from the southern beaches. Many guests choose to take a brief boat ride here before continuing.

Post-lunch, the tour moves inland briefly to Mapusa, the commercial town of North Goa. The Friday Market at Mapusa is famous for local spices, Goan sausages, cashew feni, and fresh produce. Even on non-market days, the town's lanes are worth a wander.

The afternoon route covers Anjuna Beach and its surrounding cliffs, then climbs to Vagator Beach — arguably the most dramatic in North Goa, with its red laterite cliffs, two distinct coves, and clear blue water below. Just above Vagator stands Chapora Fort, the ruins of a 16th-century fort that offers panoramic views immortalised in popular culture. The afternoon light here is exceptional.

The day wraps up at Morjim Beach or Arambol depending on your preference. Morjim is known as the turtle nesting ground and is significantly quieter than the southern beaches. Arambol draws long-term backpackers and has a distinct bohemian character with its cliff path, freshwater lake, and sunset drumming circles. Your driver will have you back at your hotel before 6 PM.

Markets: Anjuna and Arpora

The Anjuna Flea Market runs every Wednesday from 8 AM to 6 PM, October through April. It is one of Goa's oldest markets, started by hippie travellers in the 1970s who sold their belongings to fund onward journeys. Today it spans several acres of stalls selling Rajasthani textiles, Tibetan jewellery, leather goods, handmade clothing, and local Goan handicrafts.

The Arpora Saturday Night Market (also called Ingo's Night Market) operates every Saturday evening from 6 PM to midnight, November through April. It is a more upscale affair with global food stalls, live music, and curated craft vendors. If your visit coincides with a Saturday, the tour can be extended to include an evening drop-off at Arpora and a pickup after midnight at an additional charge.

Tips for First-Time Visitors to North Goa

• —Carry cash for beach shacks and markets. Many smaller vendors do not accept cards or UPI.
• —Wear sunscreen with SPF 50 or higher. The coastal sun in Goa is intense even in December and January.
• —The Chapora Fort road has a steep incline. If you have elderly family members, a short walk from the parking area is required.
• —Water sports are available at Calangute and Baga. Parasailing, jet skiing, and banana boat rides are offered by licensed operators. Budget 30 to 45 minutes if you plan to participate.
• —The best local seafood lunch options near the tour route include Infantaria in Calangute, Britto's at Baga, and Thalassa at Vagator for a scenic sunset meal.
