Morjim is one of the most picturesque beaches in far North Goa, where the Chapora River meets the Arabian Sea. The beach stretches for several kilometres and is wide, clean, and significantly quieter than the beaches of Baga or Calangute. The Russian community has established a sizeable presence here, and Russian restaurants and signs are a distinctive feature of the Morjim village strip.

Morjim Beach is also an important ecological site. Between November and February, Olive Ridley sea turtles nest on this beach under the protection of forest department volunteers. The beach is partially closed during nesting season, and visitors are asked to respect nesting areas.
